A guide for our guests visiting Armenia

Why Armenia?
Armenia holds a very special place in our hearts. It is a country rich in history, faith, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. We are incredibly excited to celebrate our wedding here and even more excited to share this experience with you.

Getting to Armenia
International guests will arrive at Zvartnots International Airport (EVN) in Yerevan. The airport is modern, easy to navigate, and located approximately 15–20 minutes from the city center.
For ticket purchases and additional flight information, please contact our travel agent:

Transportation
Yandex Go
Yandex is the most reliable and commonly used ride-hailing app in Armenia, similar to Uber or Lyft. We use it all the time!
• Download the Yandex Go app before arriving
• Works seamlessly at the airport and throughout the city
• Very affordable and safe
• English interface available
• Cash and card payments accepted
We strongly recommend using Yandex instead of hailing taxis on the street.

Where Should We Stay?
Most of the wedding events will take place in or around Yerevan, so staying within the city is ideal.
Popular areas include:
• Kentron (City Center)
• Cascade Area
• Northern Avenue
Hotels and Airbnb options are plentiful, clean, and reasonably priced.

Language
The official language is Armenian, but don’t worry:
• Many people speak Russian
• Younger generations often speak English
• In hotels, restaurants, and Yandex rides, English is usually sufficient

Currency & Payments
The local currency is the Armenian Dram (AMD).
• Credit cards are widely accepted in the city
• Cash is useful for small shops and cafés
• ATMs are easily accessible
• Exchange rates in Armenia are generally very fair

Food & Hospitality
Armenian hospitality is something truly special.
Expect:
• Generous portions
• Fresh ingredients
• Grilled meats, breads, cheeses, and herbs
• Incredible desserts and seasonal fruits
Do not be surprised if locals insist that you eat more.
Our favorite restaurant for summer 2026 is Mandaloun Restaurant.

Culture & Etiquette
Armenians are warm, respectful, and family-oriented. A few helpful tips:
• Dress modestly when visiting churches
• Guests are treated like family
• Armenia is ranked among the top 10 safest countries in the world for 2026.
• Armenia was ranked #20 on The New York Times list of countries to discover in 2026
• Public water fountains, called BULBULAGHS, provide free drinking water throughout the city. A unique and cherished feature of Armenia

Weather
July and August typically offer:
• Very warm, sunny days
• Cooler evenings
• Comfortable weather for walking and exploring
We recommend bringing light layers and comfortable walking shoes.

Wedding Event
We kindly request formal attire. Black tie is welcome but not required.
While we love your little ones, we respectfully ask that this be an adults only celebration. Thank you for understanding and helping us enjoy an intimate evening together.
Group transportation for guests who request it will be shared closer to the wedding date.

Final Note
If this is your first time in Armenia, we promise it will not be your last. The beauty of the country is matched only by the warmth of its people. We are so grateful that you are making this journey to celebrate with us.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out.

We cannot wait to welcome you.

Please confirm your attendance by 05.16.2026
